Critical Illness Cover

Most people, especially when they are young and fit, think that any critical illness in their lives will be many decades away so they do not take this cover seriously. However, illness can strike at any time and with the costs of critical illness being so high, it makes sense to take critical illness cover as early as possible. If you have a life insurance policy already, critical illness cover can be added on to it at an additional cost. This cover can be a very small amount – from around £5 a month.

What you get if you were to go through a critical illness is the amount you are covered for when it comes to any of the critical illnesses mentioned. In most policies, the major critical illnesses are covered, including cardiac problems, strokes and cancer. You should read the fine print and make sure you are fully aware of all the illnesses that are covered. Many policies cover children for critical illnesses without charging anything extra. The problem is, critical illnesses can strike very often without any warning. It is always better to be prepared for them financially.
